Matthew 6:9-13 - After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
forever. Amen.
This week’s
Sermon is Part One of Four on Universalism:
Satan Has Won Another Battle
Recently it was announced by the Presbyterian that they had approved that openly gay men could
be ordained as well as lesbian being able to hold positions of Decanis. They not only said that they could be openly gay/lesbians
but also be in active relations with their partner(s) i.e. being married doesn’t seem to matter anymore at least not
in the new church of Satan..
This
should come as no shock since the Methodist and some other major denominations/ churches have already gone the way of Satan.
And more and more of the large denominations are falling prey to liberal idealism with the changing of their doctrines towards
what’s called Christian Universalism and less and less towards the Authority of Scriptures. You who are reading this
may or may not believe in the Authority of Scriptures and also that everyone will eventually go to Heaven.
Every
year more and more churches are sliding into Satan’s grasp and during the last 25-35 years the government/people have
given him the perfect tool - “Political Correctness”. Whenever, opposition rises up against something that is
immoral then political correctness is used to sway the public or the falling back on the famous satanic verse “Love
the sinner and hate the Sin”.
Human
nature always seeks the easy way and therefore we allowed many things that would have never or should never have taken hold
within society; because it’s always easier to give in than to resist Satan. This is also true of our Christian faith
which is why we see so many Christians falling for all those cult type feel-good churches that hide behind the guise of being
Christian. There is absolutely nothing Biblical about Universalism or allowing those that sin to become spiritual leaders
within the church, but it’s easier than following Christian Doctrine or worrying about going afoul of manmade laws.
We are
told in Galatians 1:8-9. Satan seeks to corrupt Christ's Church through false ministers who preach
a false message.
Galatians 1:8-9
- But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that
which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Simply
stated Paul is very adamant that no one is allowed to add or make changes to the Gospels. His statement speaks volumes to
the punishment that’s to be given to anyone violating the Scriptures.
2 John 1:9-11 - Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine,
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
You cannot go beyond what the Bible states, i.e. you can’t add your own personal words, feelings,
or political views thereby causing you to step away from the Doctrine of Christ. Being a Christian also means that you will
need continue abiding in the doctrine of Christ to have fellowship with the Father and the Son. This means that Christians
are to have nothing to do with anyone who claims authority as a teacher but does not speak or live their lives concerning
the doctrine of Christ. These people are to be given a wide berth with no religious
recognition because those that do give recognition are sharing in their evil deeds. Keep in mind it also states that you will
not pray for them (no love for the sinner).
There are additional verses which reiterate the facts that Satan’s followers will perverse
the Doctrine of Christ:
Romans 16:17-18 - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which
ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good
words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
They may look like perfect Christians but through their actions – allowing gay, lesbians, and or
unmarried people who are living with someone else as married couple to take on
roles of Elders, Deacons, or Deaconess – they prove themselves to be contrary to the Scriptures.
1st Timothy 6:20-21 - O
Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings,
and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
Revelation 2:2 - I
know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them
which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
Revelation 2:6
- But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
Revelation 2:14-16 - But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam,
who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit
fornication. So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which
thing I hate. Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against
them with the sword of my mouth.
Paul warned the Ephesians that they would have problems with false teachers.
Acts 20:29-31 - For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among
you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after
them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Therefore if the Ephesians had this problem then what make
modern mankind think that they are not going to be targets for Satan?
Christians in order to guard themselves or their church are
going to have to follow basic steps:
First: they will have to judge all doctrinal teachings against
the Holy Scriptures. If you find that those who are in positions as preachers, priest, or teachers of God’s people and
they are denying any portion of the Doctrine of Christ then you must label then as false for they are dead in their sins.
Second: Christians are going to need to argue against these
sinful teachers through open debate or challenging them to prove doctrinally (most false teachers use only two or three verses
from various books to form their opinions – this is not doctrine). The argument used against these false teachers must
be strong as that which Christ used in -
Matthew 23:23 - Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of
the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within
they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee,
cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that
the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for
ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also
outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe
unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the
righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers
with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye
are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold, I send
unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of
them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye
scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city
to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood
of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Or that of His Apostles in -
Galatians 1:7-12 -
Which is not another; but there be
some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I
now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But
I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither
was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Third: It is clear from the Scriptures that these false teachers have by their own deliberate choice
rejected the Authority of the Bible; there is no hope that such people will ever be converted. These false teachers must be
expelled from the church and any positions of influence involving a religious institution, publication, or missionary society.
As a final step: if the majority of the church, society, or institution has fallen into the trap
and will not expel these false teachers (Satan’s representative) then it becomes necessary for true Christians to find
a new church that not only teaches but also follows the Doctrine of Christ. All relations towards these false teachers should
be based on the facts that once they start teaching false doctrine that they will get worse and never change; in doing so
they will lead the entire church membership strait into hell.
2nd Timothy 3:13 - But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Scripture shows that none of the false teachers have ever returned
to Christ.
Hebrews 6:4-6 -
For it is impossible
for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;
seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him
to an open shame.
Keep in mind just because you identify and expel the false teachers you’re still going to
have the ordinary everyday hypocrites – you know the ones who truly do not believe what they are professing with their
tongues to believe. We must always remember, at no time has God ever told us to judge the motives of mankind. If a person
believes false doctrine but does not try to teach anything false to other members of the church, they might remain in the
church until they manifest himself as a tare.
Matthew 13:24-43 -
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom
of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So
the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath
it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou
then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye
root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time
of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather
the wheat into my barn. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven
is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed
is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of
the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom
of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept
secret from the foundation of the world. Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came
unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed
are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world;
and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire;
so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they
shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall
cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall
the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
We need to also remember that even Judas who traveled with Jesus as one of the
original 12 Apostles never revealed himself as a false teacher or that he was not truly converted until the eve of Christ’s
death. In addition this kind of separation does not involve the rejection of a novice who may express some views contrary
to fundamental doctrine. If the novice submits himself to correction and chooses to obey the teaching of Scripture, he should
not be regarded as a false teacher.
